There’s design and technology and there’s clever design and
technology, the sort of stuff that actually makes life easier and more
fun. Toyota Yaris has more of it inside the cabin, under the bonnet
and in all the places where you need it most.

European Styling
Designed in Toyota's ED2 studio in the south of France, the Yaris Hatch marries European style with efficient aerodynamics. Its low front, neatly integrated bumpers and flowing shoulder lines reduce wind resistance, while the wide lower bumper and large door mirrors complement its wide, stable stance, creating a cool, confident look.
Room for long legs, tall heads and lots more
The smart spacious interior can handle almost everything – shopping, prams, sports gear, even very tall friends. And the set-up is highly flexible. The 60/40 rear seat can split, fold, slide and recline so you can choose between leg and luggage room - whatever suits you, your passengers, and the load you are carrying. And its ingenious design even accommodates up to 25 storage compartments.
Comfort, convenience and security
With the Yaris you get comfort, convenience, and security at your fingertips with power windows, powered exterior mirrors, and power door locks - including remote keyless entry and engine immobiliser. And when you do start the ignition, the Yaris Hatch features a centralised instrument panel with a digital LCD display.

Small and smart, so you're always comfortable getting from A to B
As well as the compact city styling you want on the outside, Yaris gives you everything you need on the inside - space, ergonomic comfort and world class safety features. You’ll also find all the little touches that make getting around that much more fun - like an impressive audio system for music on the move, power steering, electric windows and a very responsive engine.
Up to 25 ingenious storage compartments
Every inch of spare space has been ingeniously utilised to provide a range of practical storage compartments so you can keep your bits and pieces safely stowed away. On the Yaris Hatch there's a dual passenger side glove box, a driver’s side glove box, a drawer under the passenger seat (YRX Hatch models), ample cupholders and many more nooks and containers to help you keep the car free from clutter. While on Yaris sedan you'll find an abundance of clever storage compartments that extend all the way to the spacious boot and the 60:40 split rear seat to accommodates long objects plus two rear passengers in the one sitting.
An IPod and MP3-compatible audio system with Bluetooth
The Yaris sound system includes a CD player with 4 high quality speakers, iPod®* and MP3 audio input, and an electronic AM/FM radio. All models come with a Bluetooth™^ system that will seamlessly and conveniently transfer calls from your mobile. The YRS and YRX Hatch models also come with steering wheel controls and a 6 CD in-dash changer.

Enhanced Safety Pack
With all models you get the protection of driver and front passenger Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbags. But you can get up to 5 extra airbags with the Enhanced Safety Pack. In all models the Pack includes front side SRS airbags and full curtain shields. In the hatch model the Pack also includes a driver's knee SRS airbag, previously only found in more expensive, luxury cars.

AB-i: Active Braking with intelligence
Active Braking with intelligence (AB-i), standard across the entire range, includes technologies such as Anti-skid braking system (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
ABS helps prevent wheel lock-up, while EBD instinctively balances the brake force to each wheel according to the car's load and BA applies the optimum braking force during an emergency stop.
Optimum protection with Toyota's Safe-T-Cell technology
The Yaris build is based on Toyota's ingenious Safe-T-Cell structure which absorbs much of the force of a collision rather than transferring it to driver and passengers. It's all about crumple zones and energy absorbing material in the right places, should you ever need it.
Protection for pedestrians as well
The front of the Yaris - areas of the car most likely to be involved in an accident with a pedestrian - are impact-absorbing and shaped to minimise injury to pedestrians. In the event of an accident with someone on foot, these features help to reduce the severity of injuries to pedestrians.
Peace of mind with the option of up to 7 airbags
All models come with front SRS airbags for the driver and front passenger. But if you take up the Enhanced Safety Pack option you can get a total of up to 7 airbags. The Pack includes front, side and full-length curtain airbags, and with the hatch model you get the revolutionary inclusion of a driver's knee airbag.

All of Toyota's big ideas in one small car
First you've got the double advantage of a fuel efficient small car run on an advanced VVT-i engine. Then there's the innovative and flexible interior, as well as the eye-catching European exterior on the Hatch model. Add on the big car safety features and driver friendly gadgets and the Yaris really gives you a whole lot of value.
Fuel efficient for less pinch at the pump
The VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) engine provides the optimum balance of performance and economy by releasing power according to your needs. So when you're overtaking, the system switches to max power, but when you're cruising it adjusts to more efficient settings - meaning better fuel economy and less spent at the petrol pump.
Advanced driving technology included
The Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT), which comes standard in all automatic models, manages the power more cleverly, for fewer gear shifts when going up and downhill. While Electric Power Steering (EPS), is cleverly engineered for tight turns and easy parking, yet more road feel at high speeds.
