Advanced Styling

New Camry has been created to appeal on both an emotional and rational level. The underbody design, derived from Formula 1 racing, helps increase downward force and so aid stability, while the sleek new body styling gives the car a low-slung sporty stance.

Body Kit

In an ideal blend of form and function, new Camry has been reshaped to create a dynamic wedge shape and to improve aerodynamic performance. The roof-line and the shoulder line of the car create a forward slope that gives the impression of movement, even when standing still. While the sides of the front and rear bumpers have an aero-corner design to increase the aerodynamic efficiency of the car.

Dynamic Performance

Performance-wise the powerful 2.5L dual VVT-i engine and six speed sequential shift transmission combined with Anti-skid Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC), offers you a package that not only performs well but helps to keep you in control. Electric Power Steering (EPS) and suspension tuned specifically for Australian road conditions as well as aerodynamic features, combine to deliver a dynamic ride and handling package.

Power

All-new Camry Altise delivers 13.7% more power than the previous model Camry, thanks to the new 2.5L dual VVT-i engine, while Camry Atara models have 15.4% more power due to dual exhausts. All models across the range, generate more torque than previous model Camry.

Camry 2.5L dual VVT-i engine

Camry's all-new 2.5L 2AR-FE dual VVT-i engine replaces the previous 2.4L single VVT-i engine. This highly efficient power pack includes advanced engine technologies that lower engine friction and deliver more power more efficiently, lowering fuel consumption at the same time#. More power with less fuel cost makes new Camry the perfect choice of sedan#.

Camry Atara Dual Exhaust

In Atara models, a dual exhaust with diffuser system adds more dynamism to the styling of the car. While Atara SX also has a rear lip spoiler and a rear sports bumper.

Not only does the dual exhaust with diffuser make Camry Atara look more sporty and dynamic, it also increases power and torque helping deliver improved performance.

Six Speed Automatic Transmission

All-new Camry's 2.5L engine is mated to a new six speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. This new transmission matches exactly the right gear ratio for the driving situation, helping you drive more smoothly. Camry Atara models make for an engaging drive when Sports mode is selected, with paddle shift technology delivering high response up shifts and throttle blipping downshifts.

All-new Camry Atara models come with quick response paddle shift technology and Sports driving mode for faster gear changes and a more dynamic driving experience.

New Camry Interior

All-new Camry's interior has been completely re-designed to create a more spacious and premium feel. The Camry range exudes a quiet, understated sense of quality with premium features that create enhanced levels of comfort.

Efficient use of space was a key philosophy when creating new Camry's interior. More room to move for greater comfort and more storage compartments to stow the essentials for everyday driving.

Dual Zone Climate Control Air Conditioning

Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control air conditioning on new Camry Atara models means everyone can be at a comfortable temperature. Driver and front passenger can independently adjust the system to select their ideal temperature, via a simple central control. Warm one side, cool on the other? It's entirely up to the individual in new Camry.

Smart Start, Smart Entry and Central Locking

Camry Atara models feature Smart Start with Smart Entry so no more fumbling for keys. As long as you have the keys with you, in a pocket or a bag, the car senses them, prepares to unlock itself as you approach and then starts up at the touch of a button.

Safety

At Toyota, safety is one of our top priorities. That's why our designers and engineers equipped all-new Camry with an array of active safety systems, to help keep you out of harm's way, and passive safety systems, to help protect you should a collision occur.

There are many advanced safety features and technologies in new Camry.

Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) provide safer cornering and acceleration. Advanced Braking with intelligence (AB-i) helps you brake more safely in an emergency. And a Safe T Cell incorporating a high tensile steel structure and impact absorbing crumple zones plus seven SRS airbags, helps protect everyone in the car in the event of an accident.

Seven SRS Airbags

All-new Camry comes with a comprehensive airbag system that offers an impressive seven SRS airbags.

The system includes dual front, front side and full-length curtain airbags and a driver's knee airbag. There is also a seatbelt warning indicator for all occupants as standard.

Technology

Camry is fitted with a multimedia system which has a powerful six speaker or a surround sound ten speaker audio unit (depending on model), capable of playing music from a variety of devices. This is combined with hands-free mobile phone functionality and in Camry Atara SL, features Satellite Navigation~~~ with SUNA™ Traffic channel~~ and Digital radio (DAB+)***.

Powerful Audio

The audio unit in Camry Altise combines an AM/FM tuner with single disc CD player and LCD screen.

Atara S and Atara SX models offer a 6.1" touch screen as standard with a reverse camera~. Atara SL model features a surround-sound ten speaker audio system with a 7" touch screen display, Digital radio (DAB+)***, Satellite Navigation~~~ with SUNA™ Traffic channel~~ Traffic Avoidance System. Steering wheel mounted audio controls mean you can pump up the volume, change tracks and switch between audio devices without taking a hand off the wheel.

Digital Radio (DAB+)***

Camry Atara SL's audio system features Digital radio (DAB+)***. This offers a wider choice of stations, high quality sound and the option of playing and pausing a broadcast.

SUNA™ Traffic Channel~~ - Traffic Avoidance System

In Camry Atara SL the SUNA™  Traffic Channel~~ keeps you informed with up to date information about the road conditions on planned routes via the Satellite Navigation system~~~. Should any problems occur on planned routes, the Satellite Navigation~~~ can recommend the best route to avoid congestion. So finding your way around and avoiding holds ups is easier than ever.

Satellite Navigation~~~

The multimedia package in Camry Atara SL includes a sophisticated Satellite Navigation~~~ system to help make journeys on unfamiliar roads less stressful and ensure that you find your way with a minimum of fuss.

Clear, easy to follow graphics are displayed on the 7" Touch screen audio unit and you can also receive helpful spoken directions.

The Atara SL Satellite Navigation~~~ (or GPS) system is complemented by SUNA™  Traffic Channel~~ Traffic Avoidance System. If any kind of hold up should occur ahead - heavy traffic, lane closures or an accident for instance - the Satellite Navigation~~~ system can alert you to this and suggest alternative routes.
